Trip Terms & Cancellation Policy

By booking this trip, you expressly agree and accept that trip details are subject to change.

The itinerary is a general guide to the tour and region and any mention of specific destinations is by no means a guarantee that they will be visited or encountered, nor does it form part of the contract between the client and the operator. Although the itinerary has been curated with care and details are provided in good faith, we may make improvements that stem from weather changes, local factors, and our own research, to name a few examples. Ultimately, our goal is to provide you with the most rewarding experience. You also accept, agree and understand that there are inherent risks associated with physical activities you may participate in. Therefore, you expressly acknowledge and assume responsibility for such risk and that you alone are responsible for your decision to participate in such activities.

Cancellation & Refunds

In the event of cancellation:

Deposit amount collected at time of registration is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Remaining balance payment (whether collected at time of registration with deposit or at a later date) may be refunded in full only when registration in question is transferred to a new, previously unregistered signup on the same trip, whether from the waiting list or otherwise.

Failure to pay your trip balance on time will result in the loss of your deposit and seat on your trip.

To protect your investment, you may purchase trip cancellation insurance (see below).

If you need to cancel, contact Debra directly.

Travel Insurance

Personal travel insurance is required for all participants of The Kouda Company tours, and proof of purchase is required prior to departure. It is recommended that you purchase travel insurance to protect your investment as soon as you make you first booking (whether a tour reservation, flight, or otherwise).

Trip Cancellation Insurance:

Many “unforeseeable” events fall under covered reasons for trip cancellation. If you foresee any reason you might ned to cancel your booking, you reason is most likely not a “covered reason,” according to more insurance policies (be sure to read your policy carefully). However, you may opt to protect your investment with a “cancel for any reason” upgrade when you purchase travel insurance within the required time period of making your initial booking payment. (Don’t wait!)

Harbor Travel Insurance is one such example of a provider that offers a “cancel for any reason” option.
